Poland is being rocked by unprecedented street clashes, amid a constitutional crisis pitting Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s pro-European government against the nationalist-conservative camp centred on President Karol Nawrocki and the PiS party.
Whilst in Warsaw law enforcement officers are intervening outside the Constitutional Court following the suspension of the institution’s president, Bogdan Swieczkowski, behind the digital barricades that are inflaming passions and undermining the stability of NATO’s most important pillar on the Eastern Flank, a network is operating that is funded and coordinated directly from Bucharest, with direct suspicions of Russian funding. At the helm of this cross-border propaganda apparatus is AUR leader George Simion and his hybrid warfare machine: Follow Digital Solutions.
On 30 October 2026, just as the streets were boiling over outside the Constitutional Court in Warsaw, George Simion set the tone for the assault on the X network: “Dictator Tusk is crushing democracy in Poland right now! Freedom for Poland!”.
🚨 Tusk the dictator is crushing democracy in Poland 🇵🇱 this very moment!
FREEDOM FOR POLAND!
— 🇷🇴 George Simion 🇲🇩 (@georgesimion) October 30, 2026
Far from being merely the opinion of a misguided politician, the message forms part of a systematic operation through which the AUR’s digital infrastructure – funded with millions of lei of Romanian taxpayers’ money – has been made available to the Poles to destabilise the pro-European camp and, indirectly, to serve Moscow’s agenda of fracturing Central and Eastern Europe.
The Bucharest troll factory controlling the accounts of the Polish President and PiS leaders
Journalistic investigations have uncovered an unprecedented development in European politics: almost a year and a half after the 2025 Polish presidential election, the official Facebook account of Polish President Karol Nawrocki is still being managed from Romania. This is not a technical coincidence, but rather a coordinated network that has taken control of online communication across the entire nationalist spectrum in Warsaw:

The Follow Digital Solutions connection: Karol Nawrocki’s election campaign for the 2025 presidential race was run by the Romanian firm Follow Digital Solutions, the same company that is officially listed as a provider of specialist services to PiS MEP Patryk Jaki.
The Romanian team behind the Polish pages: Patryk Jaki’s Facebook page is currently managed by no fewer than 11 administrators from Romania, whilst former conservative Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki (the current leader of the ECR group) and the radical ‘Sovereign Poland’ party also have Romanian administrators at the helm of their social media accounts.
Money from the AUR campaign for Simion’s friends: Follow Digital Solutions is George Simion’s ‘house special’. In the spring of 2025, the firm received 3.2 million lei solely for promoting Simion online during the Romanian presidential campaign. The same company ran Anca Alexandrescu’s campaign for Bucharest City Hall (also backed by AUR) and registered the domain suspend.ro, used by Simion’s party to collect signatures against Nicușor Dan.
Year 2024: Turnover of 7.1 million lei and a net profit of 2.1 million lei.
Year 2025: Turnover of 9.1 million lei and a net profit of 2.4 million lei.
With this infrastructure built on the millions of lei channelled from Romanian election campaigns, Simion’s network crossed the border to intervene directly in the electoral processes of other countries.
Simion’s self-incrimination in Warsaw: ‘Free’ interventions in European elections
Any doubts regarding AUR’s direct involvement in the manipulation of the Polish election were dispelled by George Simion himself. On 6 August 2025, whilst on stage at the MAGA Conference in Warsaw, the AUR leader boasted to hundreds of participants about how his digital apparatus had tipped the balance in Nawrocki’s favour, whilst also announcing a full-scale electoral offensive in six other European countries:
“We stand ready to assist all our friends who have elections coming up. We will soon have elections in the Republic of Moldova, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands… Next year in Hungary, Cyprus and Slovenia… My party is very good at online campaigning. And we supported Karol Nawrocki using the online tools at our disposal to get young people out to vote. And young people were decisive in this contest. … We didn’t ask for anything in return because we are not political consultants. We are fellow conservatives.”
« Si vous ne l’emportez pas… l’UE entière deviendra une DICTATURE. »

This statement amounts to a self-incrimination with major criminal and geopolitical implications. How can a political party in Romania, heavily funded by subsidies from the state budget, provide campaign services free of charge and put its ‘online tools’ — paid for with millions of lei to its favoured firm — at the service of a candidate from another country? And who, in reality, is paying for the work of the 11 Romanian administrators who are still running the Poles’ pages today?
The getaway with a cap pulled down over one’s eyes: The conspiracies at the Radisson Sobieski Hotel
George Simion’s subservience to this revisionist and anti-European axis was most clearly evident on 22 May 2025. On the day that Romania’s Constitutional Court rejected his desperate appeal to annul the presidential election, Simion abandoned his voters back home and fled to Warsaw.

Spotted by members of the public at the McDonald’s restaurant in Warsaw Airport and subsequently photographed in the lobby of the four-star Radisson Sobieski Hotel, the AUR leader behaved like a true undercover agent: wearing a black cap pulled low over his eyes — which he did not remove even at reception —, Simion held discreet negotiations in the hotel lobby before taking to the stage at Karol Nawrocki’s election rally ahead of the second round on 1 June 2025. Although he subsequently attempted to cover his tracks by claiming he had been attending the PISM Strategic Ark event and the CPAC conference in Rzeszów, the images of the AUR leader in disguise at the Polish hotel reveal the desperation of a politician caught red-handed whilst coordinating his foreign activities.

As vice-president of the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) party, led by the Pole Mateusz Morawiecki himself, George Simion is currently acting as a digital battering ram against the European democratic order. Using the AUR’s propaganda machine to fuel street chaos in Poland and to attack the pro-European Prime Minister Donald Tusk, the AUR leader is meticulously carrying out the script devised in the Kremlin: weakening Poland from within, compromising Romania’s reputation as an exporter of instability, and undermining European solidarity right on the border with the war in Ukraine.
